Hi all! First thanks to all of you who post and respond in the forum. It greatly helps rookies like me!

When making swimbaits I do a final dip in clear plastic and usually have to cook up at least 6 oz of plastic. After the session is over I'm left with alot of clear plastic that I can use for remelting and dipping again. The question is how do you guys remelt the big globs of used plastic (cut up first or just microwave it)? Thanks in advance for any tips!

best to cut it up first and mix it in already cooked hot plastic thats best.
always CUT it up no matter how you do it and keep it stirred.

is this kamakaze in Idaho?

Great point Dave, I use all of my left over plastic for Frogs and Stiks, and I will fill the cup up to the top with cut up plastic, and go in short bursts. I start at 45sec and then drop to 30 and so on. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! I cut up the large globs and added to already heated plastic. Came out great and didn't scorch it...still crystal clear! Haste makes waste!!
