Please forgive me if this has been covered before but as a newby I have to ask, can used soft plastic baits such as senko type baits or plastic worms be melted down and repoured? I have tried this but they always come out too soft and too gummy. Is it a temp/heating/stirring problem, plastic properties problem or do I just need to add hardener?

I have a couple of molds, a burner and some pouring pans from lc but I just don't have the time or money right now to get too heavily into it and was looking for a way to recycle some of my favorite soft plastics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Brian

The plastic that commercial manufacturing uses is different from hand pour plastic. It can be re-poured but I wouldn't recommend it. If you choose to do so make sure you have plenty of ventilation. There's some pretty nasty stuff in there.
