Does anybody have a good recipe for Red Shad? I have a couple I've been using I'd be happy to share, but I'm not quite happy with them.

Here is a few recipes ive taken from dels cookbook and TU for you to try:
Not exact to Red Shad but works
2 oz. Plastic
3 drops LC Strawberry
1 Drop LC Raspberry
1/4 teaspoon Red Glitter .015"
1/16 teaspoon Green Glitter .008"
1/8 teaspoon LC Pearl Amber
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Culprit Red Shad
1) black color (with or without red flake) with some red Hi-lite powder mixed in...this is the dark back
2) strawberry, again with the red HL powder mixed in, usually some red flake...the red belly
***I frequently adjust the red belly color by adding some drops of black, blue or purple to darken it a bit. Sorry, but this is strictly a "to taste" recipe.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sneaky Red Shad
1/2 cup plastic
25 drops black
1/4 tsp red highlite
salt to taste
This works really well as a stick. As a matter of fact you can do this effect with any of the highlites. Gold comes out really neat.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Red Shad
Top
1/2 cup plastic
25 drops LC black
1/4 tsp LC red hilite
salt to taste
Bottom
1/2 cup plastic
20 drops LC strawberry
4 drops LC black
1/4 tsp LC red hilite
salt to taste
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good luck and post some pictures if you stumble upon something good

I've used the Sneaky Red Shad and I actually Like it alot. However its not for everyone. I have these out of the cook book, but was really not wanting a double pour. I tried MF's Maroon Red Shad color and it's much too red. I wound up adding several things to this to get it close to maroon, but kind of turned out too purpleish.
Maybe its as simple as some red with a few drops of black? I also like black pearl powder in the red. Just need to experiment a bit I guess, but was hoping some of you guys could save me some plastic.
