What do most of you do with your Stik baits after you take them out of the mold?
I have been laying them out as straight as I can on one of those big white cutting boards and letting them set over night before putting them away.
Somebody told me they read somewhere to just throw them in water.
Just curious.

I use a cookie sheet coated in worm oil. I don't like to use water anymore. I think it tends to bleach the color a little bit and soaks in water.

Positively do not use water to cool your baits. If a few don't come out right and you put them back in to remelt, you'll have a volcano on your hands.
For cooling I place them on pre-cut pieces of Cabela's starboard marine I had left over from a boat project. The sheets are 5 1/4 " width and 15 " length.
Once they cool completely(1 hr) I trim the pour spout and place them in a baby wipes container with the lid closed. The next day add scent/worm oil combo, close the lid and shake.Wait 15-30 minutes and then package the worms.:)

wow, I pulled them out of the molds, trimmed them up and dropped them into water. If they didn't come out of the mold good, they got remelted. After pouring all the plastic (about an hour or two), I dried them and bagged them with oil and salt.

Great idea with the baby wipes container. I suppose those disposable Glad plastic ware things would work just as well. Might have to give that a shot!
I trim my sticks right out of the mold, although I do it carefully as to not crimp the nose of the bait. The caps go back into the pyrex. I do cool them in water but check them over for any defects before they go for a swim. If I have a bad one, I just cut it up and put it back in the pouring cup. Although, if water bleaches them, I might re-think that.
